US house passes bill to OK Bible classes in high schools

    This report from Macon.com:

The proposal, originally introduced by a band of Senate Democrats, surprised many by urging that the Bible should be taught as an elective in Georgia's public schools. Republicans quickly substituted their own version, which specifies that the Bible itself would be the course textbook. The measure easily passed the GOP-controlled Senate last month by a 50-1 vote.

Wouldn't it be better to teach about the true gods of Hinduism rather than the false god of Christianity?

To be honest, I don't really know too much about Hinduism, djeb, apart from the fact that it seems to me to be a very respectful religion from what I have heard.

It doesn't matter. I wasn't serious about Hinduism because the one true god is the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and all should be forced to learn and acknowledge this.

Oh, ok, I thought you were trying to make a point about Hinduism being respectful, which, from what i've heard and read seems to be true. However, I digress, praise the flying spaghetti monster :)
