Have your say! "Free Speech" or Muslim bashing? Do you support Iraq troop withdrawal? Iran invasion?

    Reposted: "God based hate groups"

From our archives: From Magic City Morning Star: The Politics of Intolerance From the Los Angeles Times (10/16/03):

"The Pentagon has assigned the task of tracking down and eliminating Osama bin Laden…to [Lt. General William Boykin] who sees the war on terrorism as a clash between Judeo-Christian values and Satan." Boykin, referring to a Muslim opponent, commented that "I knew my God was bigger than his. I knew that my God was a real God and his was an idol." Here we have a high-ranking American military officer - sworn to uphold the Constitutional concept of religious freedom - blatantly expressing his intolerance of non-Christians.

A Christian who truly believes in his religion would not use any determinator in front of the word "God." A true Christian believes not in "my God" but in "God" and wouldn't even think to make the kind of comment that General Boyishkid did. Christianity is not a religion for this man; it is an expression of psychopathology.

I've often thought that people who use the phrase "My God" are being somewhat disingenuous. It was heartening to see, as we both posted about, church leaders denouncing US foreign policy a few weeks back. I doubt that message has been able to get to the psycopaths like this one though.
