On the British - American extradition treaty

It may surprise some readers to learn that the extradition requirements between Britain and the US are urgently in need of reform. While under Blunkett, an agreement was reached whereby prima facie evidence is not required when extraditing someone to the US; whereas, the US can request that Britain extradite anyone without any probable cause. This is a serious breach of our sovereignty. Where are all the europhobes who complain about Britain's sovereignty being lost to the EU? Are you not at all concerned about our sovereignty being lost to the mob across the pond?

Great point truth. The British government has left us all vulnerable.
The US is a rogue state - I wouldn't be so concerned if it was Canada [even then the principle is all wrong]

Thanks for the comment exo, indeed, the principle is completely wrong, and the US is a rogue state.
