Met Police chief, Ian Blair should have already gone

According to this article, from the BBC, the Tories are saying that Ian Blair's position as Met Police chief would be "untenable" if a report into Jean Charles de Menezes' murder does not clear him:

The IPCC is compiling the report into the Menezes case, which will not be published until any trials relating to the case finish.

Mr Davis told BBC News he had "a simple message".

He said: "That people have been questioning his judgement and now it's very, very important the IPCC exonerates him of the charges against him.

"If they don't, I'm afraid his position is untenable."

If they do clear Blair, then this is yet another whitewash.
