Oh, but we are partly responsible Falconer

I've just been reading this report, from the BBC, apparently Lord Falconer believes that as America isour ally, Britain is not responsible for all the torture carried out at Guantanamo, and, indeed, elsewhere. Britain may not be fully responsible, but by allowing ourselves to become entangled in the range of human rights abuses, including torture, abuse, murders, rapes, beatings, etc.. within the so called "war on terror", and the illegal invasion of Iraq, not only carried out by Americans, but also British soldiers means that Britain is partly responsible. To attempt the "we're not responsible for their crimes" argument is morally reprehensible given the so called "shoulder to shoulder" stance. Britain should have made it clear right from the start that we were having nothing to do with the bunch of criminal lunatics in power over there. See all recent "A Logical Voice" posts
