Breaking News: Police news conference shortly

There will shortly be another news conference by the Met Police, I will post further information here as it becomes available. Meanwhile, apparently a forensic team from Madrid is on its way to Britain. A reminder of the Transport for London website Anti Terror hotline - 0800 789 321 Investigations continue at all 4 sites Roof of the bus has been removed for forensic examination Bus itself will be removed in due course Russell Square search team facing difficult conditions due to heat and dust. Work will be slow, methodical and meticulous. It will be some time before the job is completed There have been 120,000 calls received by the casualty hotline number. A casualty hotline for overseas citizens has been established, and the number has been distributed to overseas media outlets. A 24 hour reception centre will open this afternoon for family and friends searching for information, details will be given out in due course. Police want to stress that this is a facility for those who haven't already got a family liaison officer. "A slightly different picture is emerging on the timing" from that which has been reported so far. All 3 bombs on the underground exploded within seconds of each other at about 8:50 AM First emergency call came at about 8:51 AM First confirmed call to the Met Police that there was an explosion was at 9:17 AM Authorities don't know how many bodies left in the carriages. Police began to shut down the London Underground system at about 9:15 AM. Bus explosion came at 9:47 AM "Complete speculation" that a patient being treated at the Royal London Hospital is in any way linked to terrorists. Police can't comment on whether or not the CCTV on the number 30 bus was on or off. Or indeed, whether it was working. "I'm not sure what the Madrid team are actively engaged with" Police confirm that explosive was a "high explosive", not a home made explosive. On anything more than that, they say that "we do not want to say".

Well if they went off at 0849 that would be 11 minutes to 9. Hmmm.
