Have your say! "Free Speech" or Muslim bashing? Do you support Iraq troop withdrawal? Iran invasion?

According to the NYT, the TWAT (The War Against Terrorism), GWOT (Global War On Terror) or just plain WAT(War Against Terrorism) has been renamed. The proper term to use now is the Global Struggle Against Violent Extremism or GSAVE. The change was necessary because "New opinion polls show that the American public is increasingly pessimistic about the mission in Iraq, with many doubting its link to the counterterrorism mission." We hope you understand and thank you for your cooperation.

Sadly I'm not registered with NYT, and can't be bothered right now...And some still believe propaganda doesn't exist...amazing,eh?

That would be a silly thing to believe. Propaganda is quite literally public relations. Anyone familiar with the history of the industry will know that they changed the term from what used to be called propaganda, which took on negative connotations, to "public relations".

Similarly, PR has gotten a tarnished image and, as of late, terms like "public affairs" have been increasingly used in its place.
