ID Cards costs set to soar

The Guardian reports: Rebel MPs and peers prepare to oppose bill analysts claim scheme could cost up to £18bn

As critics stepped up the pressure on the system they have sought to paint as a "plastic poll tax", the scheme's achilles heel was increasingly being seen as the cost - between £15bn and £18bn, according to some independent analysts.
This is a money making scam, and is unnecessary and unwanted, if you haven't already contacted your MP about this project, and you are opposed, then please do so. There is a link on the sidebar here to contact your MP. See all recent "A Logical Voice" posts

Hardly news, this was covered last month in the recent LSE study. Because the Treasury wont cover the costs on the ID cards this figure would mean each of us paying roughly £300 for the damned things!

Also check out the UK Polling report for more on the public "support" for them....

And they want to let EDS (try) and implement it.
    Big effing joke.

Indeed, it's not really news, however, I did feel it was worth highlighting again, as there will no doubt be others like myself interested in the issue.

I regularly visit the UK Polling Report site Leon, it has some good commentary there doesn't it.
