On the official death toll in Iraq
TBR News comments that the official US military death toll does not include those who have died either in German hospitals, or en route to Germany. And of course, we all know that during the Vietnam war, the true figures of US deaths did not emerge for some time:
U.S. Military Personnel who died in German hospitals or en route to German hospitals have not previously been counted. They total about 6,210 as of 1 January, 2005. The ongoing, underreporting of the dead in Iraq, is not accurate. The DoD is deliberately reducing the figures. A review of many foreign news sites show that actual deaths are far higher than the newly reduced ones. Iraqi civilian casualties are never reported but International Red Cross, Red Crescent and UN figures indicate that as of 1 January 2005, the numbers are just under 100,000.See all recent "A Logical Voice" posts

I'm very curious about this statement of the true numbers of deaths in Iraq. I'd like to know the sources involved, and what information is available to me to double check both the official figures and the questions posed here.
Thanks---please email me with your reply, leebu03@yahoo.com
There was some site that had a breakdown. So far, I've only come up with this. I was looking for a different site, however.
Well, anonymous, I guess you could try emailing the Pentagon, although i'm not so sure they'd supply any of us with the figures of those who've died in Germany, or en route to Germany.
