New Statesman's readers put Lib Dems ahead

According to a survey carried out of New Statesman readers via email, the Lib Dems are ahead with 34.3% of the vote, Labour are in second place with 28.4%, the Tories, obviously have a very low rating, with just 3.8% of those surveyed saying they'd vote for them. Greens got 13.6%, Respect 4.8%, Nationalists 2.5%, Scottish Socialists got 1.2%, and "Others" polled 2.1%. Obviously, as the article states, the survey wasn't scientific, although it clearly shows how traditional Labour voters are dismayed by Blair & Co, and see the Lib Dems as the party they can more easily identify with. The old saying "The onlooker sees all of the game" might apply here.
As an expat, I strongly agree with the observations on the main parties and UK in general written here.
    Downright depressing.

    You said it!

You aren't even allowed to point out that a party is blatantly racist (See PEDLARS OF POISON(uk)) without someone spouting nonsense about political correctness!

BNP are trash but it's worth pointing out that their appeal would fall to near zero if the main parties sincerely addressed hot button topics like immigration instead of weaving and ducking like they have for decades.
