Telling companies to "clean up" is not good enough

The damage has already been done, Sudan 1 infected products have spread, Blair & Co did not advise the EU of the dangers, and the relevant checks and balances were not in place, or applied. Senior heads need to roll. From the Observer: Food giants told: clean up or face prosecution See all recent "A Logical Voice" posts

So how deadly is Sudan 1? How many tons do I have to eat before I develop minor acne? From what I've read, the previous sentence is not frivolous.

If it is important enough to withdraw products from shelves, which are believed to have been infected, then I believe it is important enough to warn our trading partners of the potential dangers.

A "cancer-causing agent" is miraculously reduced to an agent that causes "minor acne". It sounds a wee bit more serious than that to me:

Sudan dyes have been shown to cause cancer in laboratory animals and these findings could also be significant for human health. Because Sudan dyes may contribute to the development of cancer in people they are not considered safe to eat at any level.

Oh, djeb, don't ruin people's illusions, there they are, cowering behind their couches, and underneath their tables, clutching onto their flags of whatever description, and a plastic statue of liberty.

Of course, any "threats" can only come from the direction our leaders tell us, as for other threats, carry out a bit of spin on something they're responsible for, and hey presto, you no longer have a threat that they're responsible for.

Are you telling me that terrorists are ploting to build a food dye bomb?

I'm gonna have another duodenal ulcer.

I'm surprised our leaders haven't thought of telling us that they are plotting a food dye bomb djeb, considering all the other rubbish they pump out.

Such a bomb would certainly be dirty.
