It's interesting that it's the Irish government rather than UK's that's taken the lead in denouncing Gerry & pals. After all, a marxist IRA-led government has always been their objective down south. The UK would continue appeasement and gradual surrender if it could.

I have found it partilcularly interesting also to note that the Irish government have also pinned the blame for the Northern Bank robbery on the IRA, and, as i've mentioned in a post today, it certainly appears that Republican voters are getting sick and tired of the criminality.

    Voice,
I've found your (consistent) train of thought rather uplifting as it would appear to be the only on this site on which we would have some agreement. My perspective is that the sectarian issue has been exacerbated by the refusal of the mainland parties to either put up their own candidates, or officially and formally align with one of the Ulster parties, thus offering the voters of Ulster an opportunity to vote on matters other than Catholic/Protestant. For example, anyone who is inclined to support Labour in Ulster is advised by Labour to vote SDLP, but SDLP in Ulster is the same as SNP up here - there is no way for an Ulsterman to vote Labour. It's absurd, and it's probably cowardice.
