Have your say! "Free Speech" or Muslim bashing? Do you support Iraq troop withdrawal? Iran invasion?

You can apply, but you might get turned down

When the new Freedom of Information act comes into force on the 1st January 2005, there are expected to be scores of applications for documentation. However, under this act, there are unfortunately a number of excuses which can be given, to not turn over information, one of those is that anything which is "disproportionately expensive", another is that anything deemed not to be in the "public interest" doesn't have to be turned over. It doesn't seem necessary to have shredded all those documents, and destroyed all those emails, when you think about it, anything Blair and Co believe could harm their interests probably will not be released.
